Delicious food as always. Portions are generous and good prices. Favs are the jalapeño crunch, the so spicy and yummy voodoo with extra habanero sauce please and then the spicy shrimp tempura roll deep fried. To top it off with a nice cold cup of Sapporo beer 10/10 highly recommend for your date night.

I'm in heaven! We have not had sushi this delicious and authentic in a long time! Our go to places suddenly weren't as good as they used to be. Our first time here and now our go to for a sushi fix. Beginning with the authentic atmosphere and Japanese music in the background, we feel like we are no longer in Stockton. The service was very pleasant with a very sweet waitress I loved her soothing voice. Thank you so much for serving the Stockton area Hana Sushi, and we hope you remain here for decades to come. See you very soon!

Buffet Man Sez: I debated doing a review because I want to keep this place a secret. Old school Japanese restaurant like those I grew up with in Hawaii. Like a memory frozen in time. The sushi is delicious and so fresh here! Absolutely love the sushi boats that they have! Very reasonable priced and plenty of fish! The beef kabobs are the best! So tasty and tender that I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! The fried vegetables are crispy and freshly made that I love it even though I try to avoid fried food. The blue bottle of sake is the best! Very tasty and great for the price! I always try to stop by whenever in the area! Negative reviews from last minutes people trying to get in before they close is ridiculous!

Wei, Here's My honest review! Ready?! Set! Goooooo! Hana Sushi offers generous portions at a great price! The service was good when I placed my order over the phone and picked it up. The interior is charming, dimly lit, and romantic, maintaining a beautiful traditional Japanese ambiance that I absolutely love and appreciate! I requested no wasabi on any of my rolls, but it ended up in the roll box. Fortunately, it didn't touch the rolls, so I'm not upset about it. The tempura was pretty good, though the tempura sauce was a bit heavy on the soy sauce, but still enjoyable. The seaweed salad had a hint of lemon, which was unusual for me. I've never encountered that in other Japanese restaurants. It could be their style or a method to keep it fresh, or perhaps both. While it tasted clean, I'm not a fan of this version. The beef skewers were delicious. You really can't go wrong with them. I especially liked the pickled salad that came with it; it's a meal on its own! The dish follows the traditional Cambodian style of skewers and pickled salad, and the marinade was spot-on, with tender, perfectly cooked steak. The calamari, however, was basic and dry for my taste, and the sauce was plain. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out to me. The Hana sushi roll was surprisingly good, the maki baked scallop was decent, and the March Lane roll was also pretty good. I appreciated that the rolls didn't fall apart, the portions were generous, the sauces were light, and the presentation was nice. If you're someone who loves sauce, I'd suggest asking for extra. Their balance is just right--neither too salty nor too sweet. This place has been around for years, and while the exterior is a bit run down, I'd definitely dine here and order again. The inside is so charming! Thank you for reading! -Auntie Lie

Good food did not disappoint everything was good! Service was slow but understandable as they have a sign indicating it'll be slow due to the lack of staff.

This review is overdue. My friend and I visited Hana Sushi on Monday, 9/25/23, during dinner time. We decided to order and share the following: *Gyoza *Rainbow Roll *Spicy California Roll *Hana Roll *Red Dragon Roll All of the sushi rolls were scrumptious and enjoyable. The one that I liked the most was the Hana Roll. The gyoza was crispy and had great flavor, too. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated. The ambiance truly stood out to me. The service was also amiable and attentive. I cannot wait to return to Hana Sushi and try more sushi options. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant.

Two rolls, octopus, scallop, salmon, tuna nigiri, Hamachi Kama, gyoza, large Orion beer, thai tea, and dessert Tomago nigiri. $93 includes tip. The Hamachi was my fav. Service was good and the light jazz was also nice.

Tucked at 1101 E March Ln Ste M, this cozy sushi restaurant blends Japanese tradition with Californian ease, offering an inviting menu and consistent quality that’s earned it a loyal following.

Experience the local favorite Hana Sushi in Stockton

Whether you’re searching for Hana Sushi after hearing a coworker rave about their spicy tuna roll, or simply Googling for a great sushi place near March Lane, chances are you’ll end up at Hana Sushi Stockton. This small but mighty restaurant has made a name for itself thanks to its friendly service, reliable freshness, and a menu that respects Japanese classics while also welcoming innovation.

One visit, and you'll see why customers return regularly. The chefs here don’t cut corners—whether it’s slicing buttery salmon sashimi or torching a crunchy spicy tuna roll, each plate arrives with precision and care. A couple of regulars told me they’ve been coming weekly for years, and their go-to is the “Stockton Roll” paired with warm miso soup. The rice is perfectly seasoned, and you’ll rarely find a piece that falls apart before it hits your mouth.

It’s also worth noting that this isn’t one of those places with dozens of chaotic options. The menu is streamlined but covers all the essentials—nigiri, maki, hand rolls, and some thoughtful chef specials. The cozy layout and fast service make it a great lunch option too. If you work nearby, it might just become your new midday ritual.

Explore the fresh ingredients and curated selections

At Hana Sushi Stockton, the focus on freshness and quality is evident the moment your food arrives. The chefs emphasize high-grade fish sourced responsibly, and you can taste it in every bite. The hamachi nigiri is soft and fragrant, while the shrimp tempura roll crackles with just the right amount of crunch. The attention to texture, temperature, and balance of flavor gives each dish a sense of intention.

Beyond the fish, Hana Sushi elevates its offering with house-made sauces, like their signature eel glaze and creamy spicy mayo. They also do a fantastic job accommodating different tastes—vegetarian options are available, and servers are happy to explain or recommend if you’re undecided.

A favorite among guests is the chef’s special roll selection. It changes every so often, but past highlights include seared albacore with garlic chips and a mango-drizzled lobster roll. The warm hospitality from staff complements the food well—it’s clear they care not only about what’s served, but also about how it’s remembered.
